There is always something going on in the Côte des Bar. Lovers will find local markets, vide greniers or brocantes at various locations. There are parties and festivals. The fêtes de Champagne will take place in 2019 in the Vallée de l’Arce en Seine. On this page you will find a number of events in our region.

Ronde des Feux, Chaource
8 and 9 June
La Ronde des Feux is an original festival that offers visitors a poetic walk to discover how these natural elements will be transformed into cultural objects: utilitarian objects but also sculptures or artistic installations.
This festival of ceramics, art and fire takes place in a magical place.
About twenty different ovens are lit at the same time and make it possible to revive a part of history and see how man cooked the ‘earth’.
14 July – National holiday
The national holiday of France is July 14: Quatorze Juillet. On this feast day the French Revolution of 1789 is commemorated. Quatorze Juillet is an official French national holiday and therefore a day off. In many places the fireworks, le feu d’artifice, are lit.
Route du Champagne en Fête
27 and 28 July 2019
With your champagne flute in hand, you will meet the winemakers in the Côte des Bar. In 2019 the ‘Champagne en Fête’ event will take place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July in the Vallée de l’Arce et Seine. Champagne houses from the surrounding villages offer their bubbles for tasting.
The “Route du Champagne en Fête” is one of the biggest happenings of wine tourism in Champagne and attracts some 30,000 to 40,000 visitors every year. For € 25, – you buy book of coupons, a glass, a holder for your glass and an alcohol test (mandatory in France) and then you can enjoy a delicious tasting. A sober driver on such a day is highly recommended.
The participating villages are: Buxières-sur-Arce, Ville-sur-Arce, Merrey-sur-Arce, Bar-sur-Seine, Polisy et Polisot.
