Terms and conditions

To avoid misunderstanding, we advise you to read our terms and conditions before you book. Also consider cancellation insurance.

French law stipulates that only the French text of our general terms and conditions is valid. Below is a translation of the French text.

Article 1: Application
These conditions are applicable to all stays in our guest rooms, unless otherwise agreed in writing and signed by ourselves.

Article 2:  Length of stay
Stays in our guest rooms are only possible for the agreed length of visit and the client cannot under any circumstance claim a right of tenure.

Article 3: Reservation 
The reservation becomes effective as soon as the client has paid to the proprietor 50% of the total cost of the stay. The tariffs cover all the charges in the descriptive listings, including the tourist tax.

Article 4:  Tariffs
The tariffs shown on the website www.sainteanneaube.com are the tariffs in force. We do not use tariffs for high and low seasons.

Article 5:  Balance payments
The balance, consumptions and additional services are payable at the end of your stay. The balance can be paid in cash, by personal French cheque, or by holiday cheque (ANCV).

Article 6:  Cancellation by the client
All cancellations must be notified by letter, telephone or e-mail.

a) Cancellation before the start of the visit :
if the cancellation is more then 30 days before the start of the visit the amount paid will be refunded to you ;
if the cancellation is between 15 and 30 days before the start of the visit the amount paid remains with the proprietor ;
if the cancellation occurs less than 15 days before the start of the visit the amount paid remains with the proprietor who may also ask for payment of the outstanding charge for the booking.

b) If you have not arrived before 19.00 hours on the day your visit is to start the contract will be deemed nul and void and we reserve the right to re-let the rooms. The deposit paid remains with the proprietor who reserves the right to reclaim the balance of the cost of the visit.

c) In the event of a shortened stay the price of the whole of the booked stay is due to the proprietor. Any additional services not used will be refunded.

Article 7: Cancellation by the proprietor
In case we are obliged to cancel your visit due to unexpected circumstances, you will be informed immediately by telephone, letter or e-mail. All tariffs already paid will be reimbursed.

Article 8:  Arrival and departure
You are welcome on arrival day from 16.00 hours. If you are going to be delayed, please let us know. On your last day, the room is at your disposition until 10.30 hours

Article 9:  Tourist tax
The tourist tax is a local tax that the client must pay to the proprietor who then pays it to the Tax Office. You pay this tax at jour departur.

Article 10:  Use of the premises
The peaceful nature of the premises must  be respected taking into account the other guests, the neighbors and the environment. We only receive children 12 years and older. Use of the premises must conform to their designated purpose. The rooms should be returned in good condition

Article 11:  Animals
Animals are not allowed in the Sainte Anne guest house.

Article 12: No Smoking
Smoking is forbidden in the house and in our guest rooms. With our agreement, smoking is permitted on the terrace on condition that it does not disturb the other guests.

Article 13: Drinks and foodstuffs
We comply with french legislation for alcohol in guest houses by having a restaurant licence. This means we can only serve alcohol for an aperitif or with the meal. Alcohol cannot be served to under-18s. Moreover, it is forbidden to consume your own alcoholic drinks or food in the guest-house, in your room or in the exterrior of the premises.

Article 15: Registration
We are required, by French law, to register all non-French people. You are requested to complete a form with certain personal details and your signature. We do not pass on these details to third parties.
